Topical messages can be uplifting and useful, and we do incorporate them when the moment calls for it. However, they come with an inherent limitation: human nature. We naturally gravitate toward themes that inspire or comfort us—and shy away from those that challenge, confront, or stretch us. As a result, difficult passages often get overlooked, yet they are precisely the ones that produce growth, conviction, and spiritual depth.
At Springs Lighthouse, we believe that spiritual maturity requires the whole counsel of God, not just the parts we prefer. Teaching verse by verse protects us from selective bias. It ensures that we don’t skip the hard truths, the inconvenient commandments, or the uncomfortable calls to obedience. Instead, we walk through Scripture as it was given—chapter by chapter, line by line—trusting that God has arranged His Word purposefully and powerfully.

Today, they’re beginning their eighth full reading of the Bible, remaining faithful to the same principle that guides our approach here at Springs Lighthouse: systematic, unhurried, expositional teaching.
